Well... This may make me sound like a weeb, but what about stuff from "One Piece?" Not necessarily characters (I don't know if their designs would be your cup of tea), but maybe landscapes, locations, and vessels? The style is fairly cartoony, I admit, but I feel it's nicely fleshed out, which could suit you.

Aaand... While on the subject of fantastic worlds, there's also the world of Fallen London, which has limited visual art (think cards). Also things from the Legend of Zelda series, maybe.
